Geotechnical services for single wind turbines up to 1mW rating.
Includes: geotechnical report acceptable for the installation of wind energy converters, digital topographical survey and layout drawing.
Topographical Survey
• Locate and place marker peg for centre point of turbine, interpreted from planning consent specifications.
• Survey topography within 30m radius surrounding turbine.
• Provide a topography map as a digital .dwg file.
Geotechnical Survey
• Drilling of 1 No. rotary cored borehole to provisional depth of 16m.
• Provisional allowance of 4 No. super heavy dynamic probes and four continuous tube sample boreholes over foundation base area.
• Installation of 1 No. ground water monitoring well to a provisional depth of 12m.
• 1 No. return visit to site to measure ground water level.
• Associated sampling and on site in-situ testing as appropriate.
• Trial pitting using JCB or similar equipment.
• Geotechnical testing of soils.
• In situ CBR and rocks.
• Factual and interpretative reporting.
Layout Plan
• Transpose Enercon standard access requirements onto topological survey plan.
• Arrange site meeting with installation manager where site dictates variations from standard layout.
• Provide layout plan to inform construction contractors, showing: finished levels, propose optimal cut and fill schedule, access route, crane pad, external electrical enclosure position (where applicable).
Target times:
• Surveys within 2 weeks of order.
• Lab report and advice on foundation type within 1 month of survey
• Full report and layout plan within 6 weeks of surveys
Whilst we aim to provide a prompt response, times will be subject to supplier availability at the time of quotation.
Payment schedule:
• 60% to confirm order
• 30% on submission of Geotechnical report
• 10% on completion of site inspection and submission of layout plan
Fees:
• Projects within 60 miles of Lincoln £16,500.
• Arrange and attend site meetings to reconcile variations to standard access and lifting plans £100/ hour + £0.45p/mile.
